On October 14, JWRCA students joined students and educators from 11 central Iowa high schools at the seventh Federal Judiciary Youth Summit in Des Moines, hosted by U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley.
Students heard from Senator Grassley, U.S. District Judge Rebecca Ebinger, and U.S. Attorney David Waterman, gaining firsthand insight into the federal judicial system and civic engagement.
JWRCA was also featured in Senator Grassley’s official event recap, which included a group photo and reflections from a JWRCA teacher and two students. Their comments highlighted the opportunity to learn about government and the importance of having their voices heard.
