On Saturday, October 10, 2026, J.W. Reed Christian Academy high school students put their faith into action by participating in the Meals from the Heartland Annual Hunger Fight.
Our Warriors joined volunteers from across the community to package meals for individuals and families facing hunger. Together, our JWRCA group contributed their time, energy, and teamwork to a much larger mission of serving others.
JWRCA by the Numbers
- 5 JWRCA students participated
- 2 adult volunteers, including Administrator Tara Ross, served alongside our students
- Approximately 35 boxes (945 meals) packaged through the combined efforts of our JWRCA table and an adjoining volunteer table.
We were especially grateful to have Administrator Tara Ross serving alongside our students. Her participation demonstrated an important part of the JWRCA mission: leadership through service and leading by example.
Thank you to our students for representing JWRCA with compassion and a willingness to serve, to our parents and families who supported and participated in the experience, and to Meals from the Heartland for providing our students with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
For our students, Christian Service is more than completing a graduation requirement. It is an opportunity to develop a lifelong commitment to serving others and using their gifts to strengthen their communities.
